Hi there! Your akita is just precious - do you plan to show? I have two, neither shows in conformation but my male did (and will do again, someday) obedience. My avatar is him checking out our old cat, Steve - LOL!

Hi!
This is my second akita. His name is Toku and he is about 12 weeks old.

I just joined today and I was surfing the site and my heart almost stopped.  Steph, your dog looks so much like my Saki.  She was an akita/chow mix.  She was the best dog ever.  I lost her 1 1/2 years ago.  She had arthritis in her lower back and knees to the point that she could bearly walk.  She was on winstrol, MSN/G3 powder and getting a winstrol/adequin shot directly into the joints.  I would bring her with me to work and at lunch time take her down by the lake by work in her radio flyer red wagon.  It got to the point that the shot treatments weren't working.    On March 20, 2003, she crossed the rainbow bridge.  She was 10 yrs. old.

Welcome -
Thor is such a handsome boy.  He looks so regal in the first picture.
