Two of my cats run the show, with the lazy, fluffy one-Thomas-claiming top rung (he likes to sit like a man, on his butt, legs out with one paw over his crotch-I kid you not-and he will sit against doors and not even move when I open them... he just lets them scoot his body across the floor... this cat is the epitome of laziness). Turbo, his brother, claims spot 2.
After that, there's Riley, then Sadie, much to Sadie's annoyance. Riley doesn't act much like an alpha unless he decides that he wants to eat from the bowl Sadie's eating from.
Then comes my other cat-Bevo-Turbo and Thomas' brother. He has no inclination to even enter the pecking order and is content to walk around meowing to himself, cleaning people, and getting love.
