Today Betti, little rottweiler, was playing alone in the corner on the dog bed with a tennis ball. She dropped it on the hardwood floor and it would bounce and then she'd look at it with a constipated glare, then get up and retrieve it and lie back down on the dog bed. Finally, Lou, our rott/lab X decided he'd had enough. He waited until Betti dropped the ball from her mouth, then he got up out of his chair, nonchalantly walked across the room, retrieved the ball, walked over to me, placed it very gently on the sofa by my hand and abruptly turned and went back to his chair. Then, he glanced at Betti over his shoulder. Betti just sat there with a silly look on her face. I did give the ball back to her, but we were laughing pretty good.
