Pippin finally met our rescue kitten Alice &, as any good LGD would, moved in quickly & confidently to protect her from the big bad wolf which in the case here is always Sam...Poor Sammy!

Too cute! Pippin loves his job. I wonder if Alice is thinking, "please don't eat me?"

Leo guards our peachicks from the little Gucci dog! Isn't this breed amazing?

Good job Pippin.  Poor Sammy never gets to have any fun ;) Dixie does the same thing but it is with birds she knocks out of trees. I guess it is the only thing she can find since her Mommy will not get her any livestock.

Those pictures are precious! Mia did that with some bunnies we were fostering for a while. It was hilarious - she wouldn't let any other dogs near them.

That is SO CUTE!!!!  Pippin is a doll!  You really get an idea of how tiny Alice is sitting next to him.  Poor, sad Sammy never gets to play.

LOL!...I don't personally know Einstein & if his breed likes cats but I read over & over that Pyrs do well with small animals & it often specifically mentioned cats...That was one of the reasons I chose Pyrs because I was always a cat person & have 8 house cats of my own...9 if you count Alice who is a rescue & most likely staying...So, it was important to me that the dogs I got get along well with my cats...Both of my guys also just love the bunnies & guinea pig I have...I feel a bit bad for Sammy because he always just wanted to love on them...Then came Pippin who is all gaurdian...com panion dog or not...Well, Pippin won't let Sam near the small animals if he is around...I don't mess with the heirachy here but I do let Pippin out in the yard sometimes so Sam can get some lovin' in with the small critters...Bot h dogs will chase the cats if they run & act like they will kill them...A bad behaivor the boys learned from our rescue girl, Rosie.
Perhaps Einstein would like a kitty...Take him to your local shelter & have him pick one out! ;D If he enjoys them I bet he'd be very happy! :)
Thanks everyone for enjoying my guys with their kitty! :-*
