How fun is this?? ---- Sad up-date

Chester's dad and brother are coming for a visit in December!  They have both qualified for a major dog show near us and the breeder and his wife, handler and driver are all going to be with us with the dogs!!!  THREE brown Newfies (and Cowboy, of course!) under our roof at the same time!  I can't wait! We're going to go to the show to cheer them on!

The CCBB sounds like a great idea!  It will be interesting to see if Chester recognizes his litter mate....what do you think?  any chance his dad will 'know' him??

Hmmm, perhaps. I think his brother is more likely to remember him. And yes, we will need millions of pictures!!!

I just got an email from Chester's breeder this morning that Chester's dad, Beren, who was going to be shown in December (he was already and international champ) died last night.  He didn't give me any details as to cause of death, but I just wanted to honor such a wonderful dog.  We met him when we picked Chester up and he was as beautiful, energetic, happy, and full of life as Chester.

Here's a picture of both Chester's dad and his brother who were going to be staying with us....

Oh gosh, that's terrible about Beren.  RIP big guy...

They are both absolutely stunning! ;)

That is sad...Pippin's grandsire passed several months ago & Jackie called me in tears...I felt it...I can't explain exactly but I felt him gone...I explained to Pippin & I believe he already knew.
How sad for all. :'(

Thanks, everybody for the kind words.  It's amazing how you can be affected by a dog that you don't even know well.  I really want to find out what happened....
