Oversized Beagle?
« on: June 22, 2005, 05:20:43 pm »
Beagles come in 2 sizes, 13 inch and 15 inch... well, Andi is 15 1/2 inches... so, can she be considered a big dog?   ;)

Anyway, I am new to the group, my name is Debbi and I am the owner of a beagle.. or as we refer to her, a bagle.  Her name is Andi and she is 7 years old.  We just had 3 lumps removed from her about 3 weeks ago.  One huge one under her left frnt leg that was soft & squishy - non-cancerous.  The 2 on her back were very small... more like warts, but the doctor went ahead and removed them as long as she was knocked out anyways.  She healed well and is doing great.

I grew up with a German Sheppard and loved that dog.  But, once I moved away from home, it was apartment living for me.. and working full time and being a single mom, I just didn't think it would be fair to bring a big dog into our lives.  So, we have Andi.  She is a good fit.  I can always pretend she is a BIG DOG =]

It would be nice to have a board for smaller dogs.  But, no one has come  up with one yet.  Oh well.  My aunt shows Bouviers... I think she has about 8 of them... and my mother-in-law has 2 Wheatons... the wheatons aren't too big, but they are bigger than my bagel =]
