Falling in love with this girl....

We have been given the chance to adopt this nine month old girl.  I'm going to try to post a picture of her here - it was taken in May so that would put her at about 5 months in this picture.  Her name is Anna.  I'm in love  ::)

who wouldn't fall in love with that!!!  such a fluffer!!!!  I just want to squish her (too bad ya'll can't HEAR me saying some of these words!!)  Good luck getting her!

Awwwww , her facial markings even look like Barkley's !!!! She's adorable !

Not hesitating about her....just not wanting to make a rash decision this weekend with everything else that happened.  But I just talked to my SIL in NL (she lives in the same city as the breeder...righ t around the corner actually) and she offered to bring the pup over to us in her car.  A personal escort!  (A newf in a honda civic hehehe).  I think the deal is really sealed - we're just going to give ourselves a few days before sending off the cheque.  The breeder has told us there's no hurry - Anna is her dog and she is holding her for us.  She didn't work out for their breeding program there, and therefore they are not going to be breeding for landseers this year - thus the reason she's willing to adopt her to us.

And I never noticed the similarity in the facial markings to Barkley until it was pointed out but now I have to say Oh. My.  Goodness!  It's like Barkley sent her to us!

We don't know yet.  We just might throw her into identity crisis and change it.  Anna was my grandmother's name so that feels kind of weird!

The expression in that first photo is soooo like Barkley!  She's absolutely adorable!  Hope it all works out well!  I can understand with the name issue.  The good news is that they pick up new names very quickly.  Eider came to us as Dion and he picked up his new name within a few days.  Attach it to something nice and she'll learn it very quickly.

My SIL called the breeder today and is going to see her either tomorrow or Thursday, with digital camera in hand.  It looks like she'll be on her way to us as early as next Monday or Tuesday .... I can't wait!!!  My SIL is driving over from Newfoundland next week, and asked the breeder how she felt about her driving her over to us instead of us flying her here.  The breeder said she was an answer to prayer, since she didn't know how she was going to face putting Anna in a crate on the plane all on her own.  Anna has been living in their house and her son has grown attached to her, so this is a well loved dog.

I'm in love and I can't wait.  This is so helping us right now.  I'm starting to get Sheba excited too - a new buddy to share her pillow with!
