Does anyone know of any airline that transports dogs from the states into Halifax Nova Scotia. I have tried 2 Delta and Continental. And they don't have pressurized (SP??) planes that fly into there. They fly to Toronto but because of the pet embargoe here in Canada there is no way for me to get Ash (Ash is the Weim that I adopted)from Toronto to Nova Scotia.  :'( Anyone know of any other airlines that I can call?

I'm not sure how to help you! Best of luck with your Weim though... my friend needs to get rid of his, I was wanting to take it in.... I wish...  Again, best of luck to you! And when Ash, comes home, we need pictures!

Try searching some of the yahoo groups for rescue transport - it does not have to be weimeraner specific. You will need to put out request specifically for a transport coordinator.  T.C.s have experience along with a database of transport volunteers on your route to help. Routes are established and these are really the pros. Just make sure that they are official by flat asking publicly. I am sorry that I have no contacts in Canada to give you - I have worked only with the US. The very best of luck to you.
May the forces of evil become confused on the way to your house.

Safe a life. RESCUE.

A good friend of mine her SIL is a flies small planes, I could ask her, they are located in London, ON. If land transport is the end, I might be able to help ???

I called United, they fly to Toronto, but they don't fly out of Georgia. The closet they fly out of is North Carolina. I'll be doing some more calling.

I put a call in waiting to hear back, I'll let you know as soon as I hear anything , keeping my fingers crossed, if he can't help he might have an idea who can

That would be great. Delta can fly him to Toronto, I am thinking that would be the best option.

Thanks so much.

I have everything crossed here Nina.  BPO helped me get Phoenix from Kentucky to Niagara...so it can happen, and it will happen :)

Thanks so much  ;D Delta can fly him to toronto. It is just getting him from there to Halifax. But I have faith that it can happen.

I'm in Maine, about 15 minutes from the Portland Airport. I might be able to help if you could get him to there. Unfortunately I don't think the Cat ferry is running from Portland to Halifax this time of year but I could probably drive him as far as maybe Moncton,NB.

I just checked with my FIL(a manager at Halifax airport), and he said you should try United Airlines. They do take dogs and they do fly into Halifax. I hope that this might help you a little. I live 10 minutes from the Halifax airport and am willing to help in any way I can!
