little gerbils here need a lot of hope
« on: December 07, 2006, 12:03:55 pm »
My brother keeps his room locked so we didn't know the poor guys were getting in bad shape. I got in his room and thought his gerbils were dead. They were hypothermic and are underweight. We warmed them up, and now working on getting them to eat. They are eating but not much. They are drinking some from their bottle. I am so surprised they bounced back like they did. But they are not out of the woods yet. If they live they are staying in my room where they will be properly cared for. Give these little girls some good thoughts. They may not be dogs but they are living just the same and precious little babies, only about a year old. They don't deserve what my brother caused them  :(.

Question: How old is your brother? Why did he let them get in that shape?

I understand alittle better now, glad to hear they are doing much better, would it still 'help' your brother is there a common area that he could still enjoy them and help care for them but they(hope & faith)would be seen by others on a daily basis? Just a thought

Really, really GLAD to read that Hope and Faith are going to be fine ;D, I think that is a good idea, maybe have your brother 'help' you with them, when it's time to feed or water that could be his 'job' (of course you would oversee that this is being done) just a thought...
