Update on Joey
« on: December 19, 2006, 01:30:56 am »
:)Thank you everybody for ALL your support. It means so very much to me and my spirit feels lifted. The Vet called my this morning with some test results. Joey's lipase enzyme is elevated but thats about all they can see. This can mean a predipostion to pancreatis but I am already aware that Joey has a sensitive stomach...he burps all the time and I always have to make sure he has some food in his dish so his stomach doesn't get too empty. She said we will just wait to see if he has more seizures as they don't like to medicate until it is absolutely neccessary. Excluding the two seizures he had yesterday, two seizures in a 4-6 week period would mean medication for Joey, so it is a "wait and see kind of a thing", to see if he has any more. The vet also told me that seizures are more likely in BIG DOGS. So...I'll wait and watch. Thanks again everyone! You really are the best,
Georgi
