Sugar
« on: April 20, 2007, 09:11:35 am »
This is my 130-lb, 11-year-old yellow lab.  Her name is Sugar (aka Sugy Bear or Boo Bear).  She is on a strick diet and as everyone knows, labs live for food (and swimming).  She is unable to run anymore are her joints bother her so bad and walking is limited to short trips.  Anyone know of any low-fat treats?

welcome to bpo! your girl sure is pretty!  you can see all my furkids in my signature.  as far as low fat treats...  hm...  i know the blue dog ones come in low fat.  they are all natural (no artificial flavors, colors, preservatives or added sweeteners) with real peanut butter and molasses.  you can get them at petsmart, here's a link.  our dogs love them, but we don't give treats out too often ha ha.  anywho, here's a link!

Welcome! Sugar is a cutie pie. My dogs eat the same treats and LOVE them too. They smell good enough to eat myself :P I know they have them at Petco too. Can't think of anymore right off, treats have cut back  a ton in our house and the pups only get one at bedtime anymore usually.

Awww, Sugar is so cute!  Everyone's given great advice on treats, if you like to bake treats for you dog, try to stay away from using peanut butter it's very high in fat.

We give liver treats (freeze dried liver), low in fat and super tasty!
I just discovered these as well.  Tonka and Zoe LOVE them, though.  I paid $18 for the bag.  MAN!  These dogs need to get a job and starting pitching in!

BTW-Sugar is a cutie!
I am kind of a big deal!
