Service Dog Vests
« on: June 05, 2007, 07:57:51 am »
I was wondering if anyone knew of any Service Dog vest suppliers. Or just plain vest suppliers. I'm having a h*ll of a time finding any in Canada. I know it's a long shot but I thought I'd ask. Thanks!

Thanks for the link. It's absolutely astonishing how hard they are to find.

Thank you so much. Socializing Rembrandt will be much easier with his vest, and I'm sure he'll look great in some of those colours, hot pink maybe? lol Thanks again.

Rembrandt is going to be my Service Dog, so the vest will help me not have to tell his story every five minutes. I probably have to get him an actual vest, make him more professional, but I won't deny, that hot pink one will be coming home too! hehe :D (I'll take lots of pics) He's really going to help, and I know it was meant to be, because he was born on my birthday.

On another note, we should have a "Boys in Pink" club lol seems like it would be pretty popular! ;)

Things will be interesting with Remy (that's what I call him all the time, and you can too :)) He hated his collar, so I'm pretty sure he's going to despise a vest, but you never know, by some miracle he could like it!

It's funny how things change with a vest, I was watching a service dog demonstration, and these dogs were amazing. They never looked at the crowd they only paid attention to their handlers. But once the vests came off, the were like "love me love me" from everyone. I'm sure once he's older, Remy will be the same  :)

At the moment we're just doing the basics, which is going really well. He's 11wks and can sit, stand, down, come, wait, look, and stay(ish). Like I said we need to work with distractions.. .what a piece of dust I must chase it! Once I start doing cool things I'll definitely let you know! I want to start teaching him some tricks, like take a bow, you know, really impress the crowds  :D
