"1000" Greyhounds need adoption from Geneva Lake, WI
« on: September 18, 2005, 08:18:19 pm »
wow.. i just saw this today..

http://www.jsonline.com/news/state/sep05/353731.asp

apparently the race track's closing.. i was told by the local rescue group that there'll be '1000' or is it s'pose to 100? i dunno.. i think (or i HOPE i heard wrong)... 1 of the 10 yr old greyhound girls they had @ petco for adoption today was sooo soft and smart... she knew how to squeak toys - a big deal for me, as both of my dogs are squeak-retarded...

Wow, It sucks when a track closes. I haven't heard much, but then again, I never hear much, unless it's on the greyhound list, or an email from Lucy's adoption group.

If you would like updated and accurate information, you can visit www.greyhoundp ets.org for GPA since they are working with the track.  Also you can visit this http://forum.greytalk.com/index.php?showtopic=107252 for a thread on a greyhound board that is keeping information up to date as well.
