If you can take him and have to come thru Texas- I will help with the transport. He looks like he really needs out of that kill shelter- OK who on BPO is in the Vegas area- he looks so sad.

Crud, we need to move to the Midwest...noth ing ever comes through the Northwest. I wish that I could help with transport or foster, but I'm too far away. What else can we do to help get him out of Las Vegas and to Ohio? I'd like to help.

I know that there is a dane rescue in Vegas. You might want to contact them and see if they will pull the dog. Sorry I don't have the contact info. My computer crashed and I have lost ALL of my contact information.
If rescue can pull the dog the Dane Train might be willing to help with transport.
I am two hours from Vegas and would be willing to help.

Jodi, be sure the Gentle Giants people in Nevada aren't associated with Gentle Giants Rescue in Norco, CA. They have an absolutely terrible reputation and several members here could share their horrible experiences. I know there is at least one other Dane rescue with the same name, but the one I know about is in New Jersey. I'd hate to steer you wrong if the one in Nevada is legit, but I would want to be 100% sure, if I were you.
that...I have read the horror stories about the place in Calif...I briefly looked at the Nevada website, and they only had 2 danes listed...I didn't se any reference to the other rescue, but I will have to go back and look. Thanks for reminding me.

No ... not at all affiliated. Gentle Giants Rescue in Las Vegas was in existance long before GGR (the Wards). Tracy Ward had asked Cheryl Ann of GG Nevada for permission to use that name, and Cheryl Ann had said NO. The Wards used the name anyway.

Do you remember the name of the shelter? The rescue contacted me and said the link wasn't any good anymore. They are trying to find out about him. I told her he is an older male mantle dane, and I copied his pic from this post and sent it along.
