we met at the coffee beanery and talked for a couple of hours. Then we left so he could show me his place since I was supposed to meet him there for pizza and a movie tonight. I insulted his minimalistic décor and his love for wicker baskets in one breath and he teased me about it for a while. His sense of humor is drier than mine if you can believe that. I thought I really offended him for a minute.
we joked...and oddly he never said...hey come on in and have a seat...so we did the nickel tour of his place and stood around for a bit nervously. i thought that was weird.
He seems to be just like most guys in the "I only want one thing" sense but was polite and understanding. things got to be things and i tried to explain i needed to get home to the dog and what's the hurry and (god he's assuming here) i was starting to feel a little uncomfortable. so i said "i hope you don't think this is rude..but i gotta go" and i sorta did. I started getting more than the nickel tour if you know what i mean. not that i'm a complete prude...but it's THAT TIME and it wasn't gonna happen.
he called me at my home number and it was forwarded to my cell phone and he asked if i was ok with the way things ended up...i lied and said i was ok and things were peachy. we talked a few more minutes and hung up.
I called and left him a short voice mail last night and sent him an instant message on his yahoo and have yet to hear back from him. I'm assuming here, but i think he was a typical male pig and i did the wrong thing by leaving...or the right thing depending on who you talk to.
i'm assuming i will never hear from him again.
I'm sick of dating.
