Great news!! Beau has a new home!
« on: September 15, 2007, 05:03:53 pm »
I am happy to say, Beau has a great new home. My mother-in law was up this weekend. She has a Newfie puppy names Hagrid (so fitting). Anyway she has been learning about large breeds since getting him. She also has a Golden, and a mix breed. While she was here, we had beau out on a leash, he was playing with Hagrid. They were having a blast. We decided to leave them together for the day while we went to the farm fest in town. Well last night when we were trying to bring the pup in, he didn't want to leave Beau. He slept in the kennel all night. Plus we let Beau out off leash to see what he would do and he listened to our every command. He was such a good boy! She decided that he would fit in great with her pack. She lives on 17 acres in KY., so he will have a blast. Plus I can see him when we go there. In the past she and I have had MANY differences, but I think we are getting along much better now, we relate more since everyone thinks we are nuts for having more than 1 dog. LOL ANyway, this morning she let them both out of the pen, and they ran up to the house with her (no leashes) and when she opened the back of her SUV Beau jumped in and was ready to go. If for any reason he doesn't work out, he can come back here, but I think he will be fine. Since I hadn't gotten him neutered yet, she will be taking him in the next week or so, her vet is cheaper than I could get it done here. We have a visit planned for Thanksgiving, so we will see him then. THANK-YOU to everyone that helped this boy get his heartworm treated. This group is the best.
