Been there, not much fun.To unclog the hose, take clogged hose outside, put water house in the clogged vacuum hose, turn on water  ful blast and the water will flush out the clog. Another peice of advice, Dyson. I have only clogged up the hose on the Dyson once and it did not require the outside water hose to un-clog. I also have a large shop vac for the bare floors with all of the Pyrenees hair. Its a necessity.

Ugh! That does not sound like much fun! I have heard wonderful things about Dyson--there is a vacuum called the Animal or something similiar, I think it might be made by Dyson as well? When my current vacuum dies, I'll be looking for one!

Oh, I already ordered a Dyson.  I have never had a real vacuum before..the one I just clogged up was one of those little handheld ones, so it's amazing I got away with it this long. I figured I might as well shell out now and hopefully not have to worry about it again for awhile.  I never thought I would be this excited about getting a vacuum.

We are huge fans of the Dyson Animal vacuum in our house!  Boy that thing does wonders too.  They say to test it out, vacuum with your regular vacuum, then go right over it with the Dyson and you will be shocked!  We were sold very quickly.  Target now sells the Dyson too.
