We got our Christmas tree! Sierra helped. Sort of.
« on: December 11, 2007, 11:59:34 pm »
Well we went out and cut down our tree today.  It's a biggie - 11.5 feet.  Since Jeff's left arm is paralyzed, I was the lucky one who got to saw the dang thing down.  Unfortunately, the picture with me lying on the muddy ground hacking at the tree is not coming out for some reason.  :)

Anyway, we took Sierra to help pick out her very first Christmas tree.  Below are pictures of her being a very big help with a very heavy tree.

Still helping...

She's such a big help, isn't she?

The quality kind of stinks, we forgot the camera.  Thank goodness for camera phones.

Since she chose that branch, we took it home and we are going to decorate it and hang it somewhere in the house.

Modified because I just noticed if you look closely at the second picture you can sort of make us out struggling to get the actual tree onto the truck....

Aww beautiful dog regardless of the quality of the pics!! I miss cutting down real trees we opted to buy a fake one last year, mostly because we like to put the tree up the week before thanksgiving and a fake one will last longer LOL!!  ;D

Haha newfs definitely love xmas tree hunts...Kali wanted us to bring home a seedling normally she's more helpful then she was this year. She also picked out a few charlie brown trees. I'll have to post some pics this weekend when I'm back home.

haha!  Tina, I'm picturing it now and giggling.  Funny how it wasn't that amusing yesterday...

I think the tree knew I was the one doing the cutting because it attacked me and poked me in the eye when we got it home.  Still hurts but I can still see out of it so all is good.   ;D
