Well, it turns out that even though Louie didn't work out, hubby has softened a bit and said he might be more "into" getting another dog if he got to participate in the picking - yay!! (I send him pictures and links all the time - I guess it gets old...) So, our next dog will be...
whatever picks us! I want a large black dog, with soft short hair.

Not real sure but I do have a list Smiley
Another female Wire-Haired Vizsla, a female or male Whippet, or a male Rott, are the top 3 as of now.
No matter which it was it would come from a breeder for the purpose of showing/dog sports.

More than likely a Rottie or Pit Bull from a shelter or rescue group. I don't have a preference for boy/girl, temperament being of utmost importance, but I do want a young adult, 2 or older. I also can't imagine not having a Pyr in my life, so another Pyr would be a possibility as well.

Jenny (4 yrs) Great Pyrenees
Gabriel (14 yrs) Sealpoint Himalayan cat
Melanie (11 yrs) Domestic medium hair cat

My dogs are fairly young, so this is a long way off, but my next dog will likely be another rescued Lab or a Lab mix. But then, like several others have mentioned, it may just be whatever rescued dog grabs my heart at the time that I'm ready to get another animal... But knowing that there are so many Labs/Lab mixes in rescue and that those are more often the ones I get pulled in by, I bet that's what I end up with.

I just have a soft spot for them, especially black lab mixes with a little white on their chest and now, after having Sadie, the yellow ones, too. And chocolates are pretty... Wink Though, I may just have a Saint, too-a rescued one this time. Riley II and Sadie II.

I'm kidding about the names, of course. LOL

I've been really thinking about a pittie, too. They're my faves, really. Also, when Marina posted that Dogo, I actually had to stop myself. Molly and I have been wanting a dogo for years.

My next dog will have to wait awhile in case I get accepted into nursing school, plus I don't think my landlord would appreciate three dogs in his house (even though he knows I take care of everything)!! But I really want a merle dane and a leo, whichever comes first!!!  I will probably always have a GSD though, that's my breed!

God placed me on this earth to accomplish certain tasks...I'm so far behind I'll never die!!

Navarre: GSD 9/13/99-5/14/06 patiently waiting
Issabeaux: GSD 1/27/07
Daphne: Boxer
Stone: Siamese mix

Some form of Mastiff (Douge, English, Fila, Bull) or another Bassette.  I will always have one of each.  I have some land in Northern MN on Lake Superior and when the day comes I head for the hills I plan on adding a Lanseer into the mix.
