Hi i'm new here.Its early but we have a newf pup reserved!I am sooo excited i had to tell!!I need some ideas for female names!

Yipee a new Newf! Black, Landseer, Brown?? Whatever the colour you will love it! Names...mmm ours wasn't very original lol.

We won't be getting her until early summer.Some of thenames i have is Ebony,Gracie,Brooke,Sophie,charlotte,Belle,Tess.I'm still looking if theres any more suggestions.

I vote for Tess, Brooke or Sophie. Ebony is too, you know, whatever. It's a black dog, so ebony is kind of obvious. There are a few Gracies on this board already so in my mind it's used (not that that applies to you, of course!) Charlotte is cute, too, but seems too long. You'd end up shortening it to "Char" probably. I think Tess, Tessa or Tessie are my favorites. Sorry for the opinionated opinions, but, you know, ya asked, right?? Good luck and have fun! o.k ,i want to add pheobe and Blu to my list.Ireally want to give her a good name and i think its going to drive me crazy trying to find one. 
I'm sort of an unusual name person, too. Our dog (a big black hairy Newf/Chow mix) is named Cabeza, which means head in Spanish. Its because when we first fostered him, he had HW and was really skinny. So, his head looked ridiculously large.
I have a name all picked out for my next Newfie girl, so I'm not sharing! NEENER NEENER NEENER!
I think that you should meet her and assess her personality before you try and name her. Its so hard to name a dog without really really knowing him/her. (even though I have a newfie girl already named and don't own her yet! hahaha!)

I'm like you Nicole!! I already have the name for the next male and female that I get!!! BUT if they don't fit I can change them!! If you're really struggling, just wait, narrow it down and then when you get her see which one fits. She'll think her name is no for awhile anyway!! Good luck!!

i love unusual names. so, for me, a human name on a dog is just weird. no offence to anyone, because the names suit the dogs perfectly, its just something i wouldnt do.
MIND YOU- Reba came to us already named! So she doesnt count! LOL
we name our pets too after things we are very interested in. For instance
Memphis, our great dane, is named after Nicolas Cage's character in gone in 60 seconds
Zero, our bull terrier boy, was named after the ghost dog in Nightmare Before Christmas
Jigsaw, our white bully girl, was named after the killer in the Saw movies.
Our cats too, Simba-the lion king, Sabbath- a black cat, so.... yeah. Kimahri- from the final fantasy series.

Before we brought Bubba home we had a huge list of possible names. Once we got him home none of them 'fit' and he became Bubba. Lola came to us at 10 weeks old, she was already named and responding to it so we just kept it.
Normally we call them by their nicknames. Bubba is Doob, or Rupert. LMAO Lola is Dessa or Odie. Cheezy I know. I can't even remember how they came about but they stuck. LOL
