Silly question- do we have Pyrs...ha ha ha ha
I rescue Pyrs and other big paws. I have 4 Pyrs that I call my own then we have the 3 fosters and a total of 7 babies who are all looking for new permanent forever homes.
I also have Danes and a Newf mix and just took in a Pyr mix and a Newf into the rescue and they are at thier foster families homes ( or will be by this time tomorrow)

Welcome to the board- We love all big paws.

Awwww, I saw pics of your puppies and the sweetie that you kept and they are all adorable!  I'm glad that you'll be able to keep tabs on the other two, you must be so attached to them, especially after bottle feeding them!

Yep, there's lots of us Pyr people here on BPO!  ;D  I'm Marie, mom to 3 human kids & my pups listed below.  We adopted Sammy last March from Pyr Rescue and he's come a loooong way in less than a year.  He'd been through he!! and back in his former home, but he's a very happy boy now.  We adopted Cassie just a few weeks before Sammy.  Cass came from an elderly couple that couldn't care for her any longer, but she'd been well cared for & loved.  They joined Daisy, our Golden/Lab mix, that we've had since she was a puppy.  Cara & Halley, our first 2 pyrs came from breeders, but after we lost Halley to cancer at barely 3 y/o, we decided that we wanted to adopt a Pyr that needed a home and after searching Petfinders, we were blessed to end up with 2 instead of 1.  ;)  ;D  Welcome, you'll find a lot of friendly people here and a wealth of info, too!
Marie

And my pups:
Daisy a 9 y/o Golden/Lab mix
Sammy a 6-7(?) y/o Great Pyrenees adopted 3/07
Cassie a 3 y/o Pyr/Mystery Snuggle Bunny mix adopted 2/07

My angel girls waiting at the Bridge:
Cara 1989-2001 Great Pyrenees
Sally ? - 1993 Dobie(rescued '92)
Halley 2002-2006 Great Pyrenees

Welcome!  My name is Becky and I have a sassy 7 month old Pyrenees named Phoebe.  She is an indoor and outdoor dog, she loves to be outside in the cold.  She currently weighs in at about 73lbs.
Prior to Phoebe we had Molly Girl and she was a Pyr/Springer mix, we fell in love with the breed and when she died suddenly last spring we new what we had to get.
You will love it here.

Jake is definitely a house dog.  He wasn't when we got him from pyr rescue, but he is housebroken now, and cries like a baby if you don't let him back in as soon as he has gone to the bathroom outside.  He sleeps in bed with me and loves to lay in my hubbys recliner, either with or without hubby there.

Hi and welcome to the group! Cute puppy!
I am Carolyn and I have one fur baby named Marley that is almost 2 years old. He has just reached 108 lbs and growing still. He is most definetly an outside dog. I would love to see more of him in the house snuggling with me but his heart is outside in the wind and the cold so we accomodate that as much as possible. Can't wait to see more pics and glad you found us!
