Help - puppy eating snow
« on: February 02, 2008, 01:44:56 am »
My 7 month old Bernese loves to eat the snow.  The problem is that because she already has a sensitive tummy, it's makes her tummy worse.

We now take her in the backyard on leash, and "correct" her when she takes a mouthful of snow.

She's so tricky that she will quickly stick her snout in when we turn our head for 1 second.

Tipper LOVES to eat snow! He dugs his nose in it and takes "bites" of snow. He's always done this--I think some dogs just love snow. It's too bad it hurts her tummy.  :(

Ditto what Stella said. I would make sure she's got enough water in the house. Cabeza will chomp on snow when he's extra thirsty, too.
