Thats funny!  Phoebe is one Pyr that does retrieve she loves to play fetch and yes she does bring it back, granted she only plays for a short time and then she will just lay down and chew on it.

Kana is a very specific breed of Akita-retreiver...He only fetches and brings back 3-5 times.  After that, you may as well be playing fetch with a snake.  He always looks at me as if to say, "Uh...how about YOU go get one this time!"

My neighbor was just telling me that when she takes her little gross poodle to the dog park (OK, she didn't say gross - that was just me!) to play fetch, there's a border collie who "herds" her poodle as she is trying to get her ball!
