I just took Clifford to the vet to be weighed. He turned 6 months old a couple of days ago. He now weighs in at 75 pounds. Shocked I've never raised a dog this big before. He doesn't seem to be overweight and is very active. He eats Canidae. Does this seem about right for a 6 month old Newf.

thanks, I wasn't sure, but he seems a healthy weight. The picture is Clifford and Stinky. That has been his favorite stuffed animal since we brought him home. It has been washed several times, restuffed, stitched up, etc. We started calling it stinky for obvious reasons a while ago. Now all you have to say is go get stinky and he knows. Usually I just replace the stuffed animals that get shredded, but he loves this one too much. Tongue

fumble is a giant newfie.. so i always used to think he was huge.  but i still do the rib test.  as long as you can feel the ribs without having to push in, or without them protruding obviously, it's a good weight.  just enough to feel them!  that's how i test, i'm not sure if that's "right" but as my theory is "if it ain't broke don't fix it!"
