I have three cats and a Newf mix. The kitties all love him. He shows NO interest in any of them. There is one cat, Lex that will bat at his tail, jump on his back, etc, etc. and Cabeza (My newfie mix) just looks the other way. I think that you are going to have NO PROBLEMS with your Newf and your kitty!

I don't have a newf, but I do have a husky cross who typically have a strong prey drive. However we raised her with our cat and she totally is fine with her. I think that if you introduce them properly than you should be just fine! When we brought Hutch our Saint home we were concerned about his reaction to the cat, he didn't even glance her way! Here is a pic of Abbey cuddling with a kitten we rescued and then rehomed.
