This is why I hate most humans. (Present company excluded.)

Got this as a PETFINDER response to a pair of ferrets and their cage up for adoption. The adoption fee for the ferret nation, both fully vetted ferrets and their supplies is $150. The response from this man (And yes, I am listing name and email address because this needs to be passed on to other rescue groups in the area)

Our adoption fees are non-negotionable. We are charged with finding excellent homes for these animals, and we feel that if someone has a problem with a minimal adoption fee of $150 for all supplies and the kids, they will not be interested in spending much larger ammounts on good food, care, and vet bills in the future. If you do have interest in one of our animals, please fill out an adoption application available at www.adoptcarol ina.com and someone may contact you.

Sooooo needless to say added to the DO NOT ADOPT OR GO ANYWHERE NEAR WITH A 10 FOOT POLE list. (And no, ferrets are not illegal in NC, or to have on petfinder.) OMG the nerve of some people!!!!! I cant believe how stupid, cruel, ignorant and stupid stupid stupid people can be. Did I mention stupid?!

It chills me to the bone to have to realize that there are people out there like that. I know people have large reptiles. I know they have to be fed. I feel bad enough for the rats and rabbits. But ferrest, puppies (sorry - I meant "puppys") and kittens? I am sick...

While i don't doubt this happens, and from reading the link o this particular low life excuse for a human!!

Try not to get to worked up over an e-mail reply!! Some people type these things just to get a rise from the reader!! Obviously it worked in this case!! again I am not saying this guy isn't scum, I am just pointing out that just because it is typed doesn't "necessarily" mean it is happening.

He may have done it just to be an A$$, thats what I am hoping, but someone stupid enough to say that to a rescue deserves to have h*ll rained down on him. My email was flooded by him with horrible comments and childish retorts.

This was in response to me saying he was denied and added to the DO NOT ADOPT list.

I'm really glad no one in his "circle" knows me. I wouldn't want my name even in their mouth. I love that he said tell whom ever I want- I've already reported him to animal control and if he is feeding puppies or kittens it IS abuse, so they will be sending an officer over to check. Nothing will come out of it im sure, but maybe he will learn to take what he says on the internet more seriously. This morning I sent his info out to the 364 other rescuers that I am networked with, with urgency to cross post. Sorry if some of you get it in your box, but I'd like to get this guy completely away from animals.

And feeding puppies and kittens does happen, a lot- There have been multiple cases here in NC where they both tell the people "Hey, let me just take the whole litter of your hands for my snakes" or they pretend to "adopt" two or three free puppies from a couple litters at a time. Besides the creulty to the puppies/kittens/ferrets etc, its also really bad for the snake. Prey animals are built entirely different then predator items.

Man this guy is such a loser! I would love to see the look on his face when animal control shows up!

Ewwww, what a sicko! 
And I don't doubt for a second that he's doing shady business on the down lo.
It is not uncommen for uncouth reptile folks to feed out whatever they can get their hands on to their snakes, esp. the large pythons/constrictors.  And the best place to do this is on craigslist where people often give away or have very small fees for animals.

Teaches people to really research who they are "adopting" their animals out to.
