Ahw he is so cute. Those droopy eyes always gets Athena extra cookies as i bet they do the same for him. You just can't say no to them! He he!

Totally normal.  Haws is really only a show defect.  Judges don't like it.  I think it gives my boy personality.  My girl does not have it.  They are prone to conjuctivitis which is treated with an opthamalic antibiotic salve from the vet...but other than that, no worries.  Great Dane = Eye Boogers, get used to that.  :)

My pups have it too when they're tired. It's one of the ways I can tell it's time to put 'em to bed, LOL!

 Tess has one eye that looks as it has conjunctivitis and the other does not.  I finally took her to an eye specialist who said that it's a benign abnormality - one eye has a pigmented third eyelid and the other that looks red and raw is not pigmented.  Everyone is always saying "What's wrong with your dog's eye"???  I was really worried until it was checked out.....
