Bear- the agility dog??? Updated wth video
« on: June 27, 2008, 08:20:00 pm »
So, Bear is the number one cheerleader of the dogs at agility contests. When he sees them he barks in this high pitched, excited voice that is soooo funny! He just can't contain himself.

Anyhow, Michael's company makes the AKC line of toys and has a contest- an agility contest.  :o Tonight he is bringing the poles home so that we can film Bear weaving. It should be fun....I'm laughing as I write this because fatty is going to do it so slowly if he can even do it at all.  ::) I'll post some pics once we do it.  ;D

Who knows...he might be good.  :D Either way training starts today and tomorrow is the big "test". Come on BPO, send Bear your smart thoughts.  ;)

Update- after practice number 1 he did the poles 3 complete times and then stopped. He just laid down and refused to move.  ::) My dog is a quitter.  :-\ Guess we;ll try practice number 2 in a few hours.  :)

So where's the video?  Does Bear know about the contest?  Maybe the prize is a year's supply of doggy bones.  :)

Or a nice pair of bom boms and a megaphone! :)  GO BEAR!!!!

Big Bear?  A quitter?  Nah!  Maybe he's just modest and doesn't want to show off too much by doing it a fourth time.  Or maybe he's just saving his energy for the real thing tomorrow.  I think he'll do great!

Sending smart thoughts and slobbery cheers to the big guy.  I can't wait to see the pics!

Alrighty- as promised here are two videos.  :) They are what I consider training videos and since this was only day 2, practice 5 I think he did rather well. Excuse me in the video as I was still in pj's and Michael is a bad videographer.. .I was supposed to be to of it.  ::)

The first is the "real" version for smaller dogs and the second is what I call the Bear size pole weave.  :D You will probably notice how he completely ignores poles that he knocks over. Silly boy!

Why weave through the poles anyway when you can just ram them over? Smart dog!
