NDR - JEFF POPPED THE QUESTION!! OMG!!!« on: August 12, 2008, 05:33:49 PM »
JEFF PROPOSED!!!! I still can't believe it! We were on vacation at Niagara Falls for the past week and he asked me on the second day while we were on the Maid of the Mist. He didn't tell anyone except the girls right before we boarded the boat. We were right at the base of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, and I turned to look behind me and when I turned back, he was on one knee holding an open ring box. He had made so many comments about how he wasn't getting married again, he took me COMPLETELY by suprise. When he asked me to marry him, my response was "Are you kidding me?" I asked that twice actually LOL! 
. He's a big jokester and I thought he was playing some sort of prank! I never thought he would actually ask! When I realized he was really asking me to marry him, I started crying and he starting laughing at me. LOL! I'm so happy and so excited and the ring is exactly what I wanted. I made a comment one time a few months ago about how I would prefer a tanzanite ring instead of the traditional diamond engagement ring. Well, he remembered that and the ring is an oval tanzanite with diamonds on the sides. It's so beautiful! I don't think it has fully sunk in yet...

HAHA! Drowned rats is right! We were soaked! I kept teasing him all week about how he picked the time when I probably looked the worst with my hair all over the place and looking stringy.

Congratulation s!! I totally want a tanzanite ring when Aaron proposes. In fact, I had picked one out almost just like that (not quite as fancy as yours) when we were in Mexico and he was going to get it, but he left his credit card on the cruise ship. How convenient!!
