New puppy .... Is he a Pyrenees or mix or WHAT?

I adopted this precious little guy today ... breed "unknown".  Well, after getting him home and doing online searches, he looks just like a Great Pyrenees to me!  He is supposedly 12 weeks old, but I would think a Pyr would be much bigger at this age ... unless he is younger.  However, he seems to have stubby legs in proportion to his body, so I didn't really expect him to be a large breed.

Can anyone give me opinions on his breed and future size?

THANK YOU!

Thank you for your reply.  Do you think his legs look short and stubby for a pyr?  It's hard to tell from that picture but in "real life" he looks almost like a basset mix... lol!

I looks to me that his paws are a little too small for a 12 week old pyr.  Maybe a collie husky mix?

Thank you for the replies!  Here is another picture of Casper.  You can see his paws a bit better here.  He has no dew claws on his back legs. I believe I read somewhere that Pyrs have 2 on the back?  His back legs are so short you almost can't even really straighten them out to find a dew claw!  LOL!  I swear his back legs are like bassett legs or something.  Poor widdle mixed up boy! Oh my gosh!  I don't know what he mixed with but I WANT him!!!  He is freaking adorable!  What a great little smile on him!  And he looks so soft and cuddly!!!  I just want to smoosh my face into him!!

Okay, I think I'm done now.  Wink Cheesy

Whatever he is, he's adorable, and he's going onto my puppynap list, just as soon as I find my sneaky ninja puppynapping sneakers.  Wink Smiley

Maybe a corgi/pyr mix??  That would account for the stubby legs (and they are cute as buttons too!  LOL)

Thank you for the nice comments!  I never thought about a Corgi mix in him.  That most certainly is a possibility!  Well, if he doesn't get very big, then he might not qualify to stay on this forum! Sad

But, I do have a Husky! Wink

Well, we have smallish girls at our house and we're here to stay. That means you should too!   Wink

I have no idea what he is but he's cute. How little is he? I agree with the corgi mix.  Maybe Samoyed and Corgi?

Thank you!  He might surprise us after all!  I will introduce my husky, Bear in a new thread soon! Wink

Wow, you don't see any Pyr?  He looks just like most of the puppy pics I've seen online.  I'll have to get a better shot of his face and compare with a Pyr pup from the 'net.

What an adorable little guy! Kiss

I think he has pyr like hair...and ears....but the shape of his face seems more american eskimo/pomeranian like. And those stubby legs remind me of a corgi!!

Like everyone else has said, whatever he is, he's adorable!!!
