Have you ever seen a Pyr this color?
« on: September 13, 2008, 12:54:53 pm »
Ursa has a friend staying over for a few days and he has to be the darkest Pyr I've ever seen.  We took pics of him next to Ursa so you could compare the two.  Have you ever seen one this sandy?  Please ignore the fact that they were playing in the rain!!!

Most Golden Retriever/Pyrs are that color- he is most likely a mix. They make wonderful sweet dogs.

according to a few sites they are not always solid white but it is a major disqualificati on with AKC. they said "outer markings covering more than 1/3rd of the white coat" so he could be purebred just more pet quality and not show :) he's pretty though nonetheless  ;D

Cute photo. This is from the GPCA Standard:
"With almost all white dogs, there is often a range of natural "whiteness." Their color can go from bright "Clorox" white to cream to a yellow-white. these shades of white are not to be considered as marking."
