Sophie update
« on: January 08, 2009, 11:05:13 am »
Well my girl is not quite up to par for recovery so the surgical center wants to keep her another 24hours, even with plan to take her to my regular vet for a few days. They have all her meds and 24hr care, so makes sense. She just refuses to get up at all, much less put even a little weight on her leg. Plus she's not eating. She is my picky eater, so that doesn't surprise me.

The surgeon assured me that 24hours can make all the difference in the world. Maybe she'll be significantly better tomorrow I can just bring her home.

The staff is in love with her and they all go to see her and hug on her whenever they get a break. Perhaps she is playing the 'Poor Sophie' card to get lots of extra lovin.

Let's hope so. I miss the girlygoo as does Syrus. Poor guy doesn't know what to do with himself. He's getting lots of extra attention from mom for both our sakes.

Anyway, hope for better news tomorrow. Thanks again for all the support.

Poor Sophie, hope she's feeling better by tomarrow. I'm sure when you go see her tomarrow she'll have missed you so much she'll do her best to get up to come see you. Can't really blame her for feeling like crap and not wanting to do anything today.

Grace was like that the first time she had her leg surgery.  she wouldn't come home or get out of the kennel they had her in.  this time, she was rip roaring to move move move.  it's a shock to her.  she'll be fine and more animated in a few days.
