He is every bit as adorable as his sister!  Just look at those pictures!

I'm glad it's working out this way.  You and Gilligan were just meant to be together!

Thank you everyone! I feel it was meant to be too. I guess his breeders made me a slide show of pictures of him, so when I get it, I'll post it!

Now I'll start posting about all these questions I have! :)

Oh hey, El'skids, how is Miss Sophie doing?
She is so much better. Thanks for asking. Now I need to work at keeping her calm.

Now speaking from a duel Newf household. Gilly is just too small. You definitely need Mary Ann also to truly fill your Newfie quota. :D Double your pleasure, double our pics. :D

If thoughts of Gilligan were still staying with you I'm glad you were able to work things out. They are both so cute but sometimes something just grabs you and stays there.

Are you in Minnesota?

Ya, you betcha!.........Actua lly, I'm in Alabama. But I think I have some roots in Minnesota. My dad's parents came from Norway to Seattle. But a couple other people went to Minnesota. I was an Air Force brat so I've been in New England, California, and born in Roswell, NM.

No, I don't think you should take Gilligan, I think you should take Mary-Ann, then I can have Gilligan, hee hee. Something about the feisty little runt I find irrisistable even though I've never met him. Maybe you should take both. Good luck with which ever one or both you end up with.

Emily, you nailed Gilligan's personality! He truely is fiesty. I saw him about 3 days ago and when ever my breeders cell phone would ring the little guy would stand up and just bark. It was adorable. He also has no idea that he's small, he just goes at his littermates like a little ball of fury, growling and all (play growling). He'll probably be a handful, haha!

I really want both, by my fiancee is the voice of reason and tells me no. We'll be in an apartment (his family owns apartments) for about a year, and he says one is enough! Haha. Then we move to a house on 100 acres (his family owns a horse stable and he rides and trains), so then I'll start adding to my pack!

Horses AND Newfies????  Oh Lord, if I were there I'd think I died and went to Heaven!!

I vote for taking both Mary Ann and Gilly!

My fiance is the voice of reason also.  Don't you just hate it sometimes?? :D  I act on impulse and if I had my way, I'd have about 30 Newfies right now.  I'd be broke, and covered in hair and slobber...but I would be oh so happy!!!

Argument for both to fiance: "But hon, when we're gone all day they have each other to keep company. The breed is known as being the original couch potato. They are actually easier to train when you have two. One learns off the other. They really don't eat as much as you would think. And when we get to the country, they'll be a great help with the horses. Two will be no trouble at all."

Then you must triple password your computer and work out a deal with the moderators to ban him from this site.  ;)

But even if you only get Gilly, your life will be enriched to the fullest. When are you getting married? I see a ring barer in the making. :)

Speaking of ring barers and totally NDR. When my nephew got married a 3year-old relation of the bride was the ring barer.

I overheard his mom talking to him at the reception, "You did such a good job. And you look so handsome in your Tux. Did you have fun?"

His reply, "I guess so." Then his little lower lip started to quiver and tears began to flow. His mom hugged him and asked what in the world was wrong?

"I thought I was gonna get to be the ring bear."

Oh my gosh, too cute. He thought he got to wear a bear costume. :D

Hee...hee...  you read my mind!  What a cute little ring bearer he would be!

I've decided I want Sierra to be in my wedding, much to everyone's disgust.  (Except Jeff - he just sighs like he can't believe he asked this crazy woman to marry him!).  She is going to pull a cart carrying the ring bearer and flower girl.

Don't worry, she will be escorted on a leash down the aisle.  I don't trust her that much!!

When we went to go our little girl this summer, they had one male left from another litter, well, he came home with us. The best thing we could of done! They are inseperable, they have bonded with us and are so much fun! The WWF sessions are epic! Training one is as easy as two, so what the heck.

Awe... So cute! This tail of yours from one to the other is just hilarious.

We have brothers from the same litter. Most people would suggest to not get two at a time so that each can have their own attention. Mace is my dog 100% and Rex is my husbands. There is no doubt to the dogs who is number one. They both have a super bond with us and also with each other. We just made sure to give them time alone as they grew up so they wouldn't be dependent upon each other.

oh yes, they certainly did bond with us, no problem there. Training was soooo much fun. Shake a paw meant 3 paws coming at you. "Speak" is a chorus. What really impressed me is that it took only about a week for them to recognise thier own name. They play together, they play with us. They poop and pee together. Training was a cinch. One follows the other. Would I do it again? Without hesitation. I would like to have more as a matter of fact. Who knows........
