Bouvier Kisses and Puppy Breath
« on: February 05, 2009, 06:31:05 pm »
 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

He has arrived and is more than I ever expected...
Emma is reserving judgement.
Falkor is beside himself with joy and concern
Rysa at first sight went past halloween kitty..more like a cartoon kitty with her tail in a light socket..but warmed up to him..it will be no time before they are chasing eachother around the house..

I am totally in LOVE
He doesn't like crates or anything to do with them..so I may have a few long nights ahead of me but so worth it..

Magic apparently guarded him all the way here and no dognappers were successful..so rry you'll all have to try harder next time..

We only got two pictures tonite but I promise there will be more..

It's been a long day..and my guess is a longer night
How sweet it is..

Ohhhhhhhhh, he's absolutely & completely gorgeous!!!  I logged on tonight hoping that you'd have found a second to post pics so thank you!  I can see why you say that he's even more than you hoped.  I'm sure that Rysa & Emma will figure out how to play with him shortly and that Falkor will baby him in just the sweetest way.  I have a hunch that that little baby may just spend tonight all snuggled up with you though, am I right?  Halley couldn't handle the crate for the first few weeks after flying to us, so she was a snuggle puppy for awhile, too.   ;)  Between being away from mom & litter mates and spending all that time in a crate on the plane, they just don't have a warm feeling about their crates for awhile, I found.  Please give him that kiss on his pretty little head for me now, ok?   ;D  :-*  CONGRATULATION S!   ;D  ;D  ;D

Congrats!  Glad to hear he arrived safe and sound.
I'm sure everyone will warm up to him soon enough.
Hope he learns the crate thing quickly.  We had 3 sleepless nights with Gunther before he "got" it.

He's beautiful!!!  Congratulation s!!  I hope you'll get some sleep during the next few nights - crating is the best thing I'v ever done for Petra especially now since she is suffering a bit from a bladder infection.

Post lots and lots of pictures - he's adorable!!

I love the contest idea, that sounds wonderful.  Also, if you don't like any of the names submitted, you could always just add a card or two with your own name choices in the box...just in case.   ;)  :-X   I know, it's wicked of me, but having asked my kids to help name our pets in the past, we've gotten some ummmm "interesting" ideas.  In fact, we have a 9 year old, huge 15 pound male cat still named "Gray Baby".   ;)  :D  ::)  It's always good for a smile when we go to the vet with our behemouth cat with a kitten name.   ;D   So anyway, I really love the idea of getting the kids involved, but that would give you a fall-back plan, too.  Please give that sweet baby lots & lots of kisses for me.   :-*

Tricia,
I just saw this post, and let me tell you, I'm almost as excited about him as I am about my baby. He has got to be one of the cutest puppies! I just want to squish him and talk all kinds of baby talk to him!
Oh hey Tricia! You helped me a while back when I was going to take in a young kitten, not sure if you remember talking to me, but you were a huge help! I had him for a while and rehomed him to the perfect family!

Also I think the name contest is such a sweet, caring idea. It will make those kids to happy. But I agree be careful, my parents let me name my cat when I was 5, his name to this day is Grapefruit (he's 17 this year).

The only name I can think of that goes with Mr. is Bojangles.  What a great song that is..........lo l. :D

Or you could go the band route.  Mister Mister........ ...lol.

Or movies.  Mr. Mom.  j/k  ;D  Or Mr. Smith (Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

TV.........Mr. Bean........I love Rowan Atkinson.  Or Mr. Rogers?

Or a play on words. Mr. E......as in Mystery?

I know these are all cheesy but that's what you get when I'm on a sugar high.  ;D

Sorry to threadjack but...Oh Chantel, thank you!!!  I'm ROFL here, I absolutely love "Grapefruit"!  That is too sweet, you must have been such an adorable little girl!  I'm off to tell my hubby now.  This will make him feel better next time he has to take Gray Baby or Blackberry (other kitty) to the vet.   ;D  ;)  ;D

Sorry!   :-[  Now back to more great name ideas for this sweet little Bouvie boy.   :-*  BTW, I love Chris' suggestion of Mr Bojangles.  That's cute!!

AWwwww he is adorable! I am so glad he arrived safe and sound ;D  ;D
That is a good idea with the children!
He looks like a Fergus- Celtic. Refined and revered

Emmett --- Gaelic. A dog name that suggests strength.
