Thank's for the really warm welcome, bein dubh is gaelic for big black and is pronounced ben du.
He is our 1st newfie,we lost our black lab last year and felt we couldn't have another lab as it just wouldn't be ullean(yep another gaelic name).
We also had a belgian shepherd who lived to the ripe old age of 16.
Looking forward to talking to you all

Just when I think I have weaned myself from this forum to get a little work done, I have to peek and of course find another Newfie puppy. Too cute!!

I absolutely love his name and I'm proud of myself for recognizing that it was gaelic. Of course I didn't know what it meant. And I only thought of gaelic because of an old John Wayne movie I saw.

Welcome. My bubs are Syrus and Sophie. Sophie is the black and white and is my swimmer. Syrus doesn't like to go farther than he can touch the ground. Maybe I need to get him one of those life jackets. Wink

Oh my gosh! So adorable! This is not helping me keep my resolve to not call the breeder to get on the list for another!!!

I love that you live on a 'loch', by the way!

Hi Kylie, yep there's no better place to live when you have a newfie, we are already looking at having another newfie, the breeders that we got ben from have had a 7 month old bitch returned to them, so we defo thinking ben needs a playmate Smiley
