He is a Lab mix, his name Coco he is about 1 yr old.  So far so good, he gets along well with Harley and Dilbert. He is a real softie. A lap dog if you will  Grin

He's a little too interested in my cat, so I'll have to keep and eye on that. But he seems well trained, he is going to the Homeless animals event with us tomorrow and we'll let people know that he is available for adoption. So hopefully he'll have his forever home soon  Grin

Are you keeping him?

No I can't right now our house is too small, once Tim and move to a bigger house then maybe we can get another dog. This guy is super cute though. I think that he would do well in a home with no cats, and maybe one other dog at the most.

How is Sunshine bear doing?

I know the feeling. I love Sunshine Bear but he doesn't fit in exactly right with my "tribe". We're going to our second adoption event together tomorrow and I'm crossing my fingers for him. Smiley

Good luck with your tomorrow!

OK so we have had Cody ( was known as Coco, but that name was way to girly for him)since friday and it's going good so far. He is house trained (thank goodness  Grin) And he knows all his comands! He has been adopted out twice and brought back twice ! GRRRR. The first time was because he chased the cats the people had. Although he has yet to chase mine, he just stares at her and if he gets to close she smacks him. ANd the second time a couple adopted him and they broke up, and the guy could look after him anymore. The rescue women said that he was very attached to Cody.

So first night, we try to get him in the crate, well he screamed like we were trying to kill him. Obviously he is not crate trained, well we get him in butt first and he whines but finally goes to sleep. Yesterday we gave him a bath and went out to buy him a nice new red collar, and getting him in the crate was much easier. We took him to the Homeless Animal fund raiser and he did great. A lot of people were interested in him. He did awesome in the car, sat in the back seat with our 2 crazys running around and jumping. He fell asleep on the way home. Then when it came to bed time, he went in the crate no prob!
He is a little shy, but I think that he is stressed out from being jumped around from family to family so much. So I will make sure that his new family will be his forever family!

Ahhhhh what a cutie. I know you have already been to the adoption fair. I hope something comes of it. It never stops to amaze me though, that people toss dogs around as were they toys. I will keep my fingers crossed for Cody and also Sunshine Bear.

Good Luck little babies

Good news, Looks like Cody will be going to a new home soon. A lady wanted to see him yesterday and we took him down, She had 2 of her male dogs and they got along great! And Cody was great with her kids too. She is going to teach him fly ball ( I had in his profile that he would be great a fly ball and agility) and he is going to be her husbands running partner. She is going to take him on Monday and bring him home see how it goes and then most likely she will adopt him. He was on the web site for only 2 days!! woo hooo I am so happy for him.
