Jamie - *lol* I told hubby about your idea. I got the one-eyebrow-arch. I'm just glad and lucky enough that he was able to get Monday off so that if we need to take a slower trip to get him home, we have the time to waste.
Thanks to everyone, yes, we are very excited! Josh and I have called each other twice already today with further things we'll want to take with us. Onyx's belly doesn't do so hot in cars yet, (hence us providing for plenty of time if it's needed.) so we've got a blanket to lay in the back of the SUV, a bunch of towels, bottled water and a small water bowl. Trash bags for rest stop clean-ups and storage of messed up towels. (should they become necessary) Oh, and some peppermint oil to put on his feet. (supposed to settle the tummy, and it smeels fabulous, so there's a plus!)
We've already made reservations at the La Quinta Inn in Redding (dog-friendly!!) for Saturday night. That's where we'll be meeting up at.
I saw all the posts today about new puppies, and I know that Jenn is picking up Kizmet the same day, so I just had to share!
