everyday friends
« on: September 01, 2005, 08:37:38 pm »
Champ has been here almost everday this week. I feel like he is my dog, ha ha... he follows me around the house and everything.
Felony went to the vet today. She weighs 30 lbs! She got another distemper and her rabies today. She tried to play with champ a little today (pic below of her and Champ with ball), but not too much and the picture of her sleeping (she still is), she is laying up against my desk with her feet all propped up. Poor thing is wore out big time. I am still mad at her though, because she got ahold of my glasses today and chewed the one arm off and goudged the one lens.
oh, well..... onto the photos!  (I put a pic of her latest ball down there too!, this is the 4th one that she has eaten... Anyone else have this issue?)

Those pics are great, looks like Felony and Champ are having a great time!!!  Yes, we too have issues with destruction.  All Koby's toys are destroyed.   :D

Love the pictures ;D  Felony is getting so big.  What a cute smiling face she has!
We can relate with the tennis balls.....we went thru so many this summer. I think the majority of ours sank in the lake here when we took our gang swimming.  Bella would lose the ball and it would sink because she had ripped it apart earlier...at least she had fun while it lasted ;)

Regarding tennis balls...

Has anyone else found that "REAL" tennis balls last a lot longer then the cheap or dog intened versions?

Faust and Tenchi would pop the other tennis balls in a matter of minutes, if not hours.  I went and got a tube of real tennis balls and they stayed intact until they were lost!  These are dogs who eat tires and destroy almost any toy that they get.

So was I just lucky or have others found this to be true?

YES they do!!!!!  Those dog tennis balls have ink on them too that get in the carpet when slobbered on.

oh, that is great. My husband went to the flea market today to get lamb bones and with the intention of finding something out there that she couldn't kill. I'll definently try the real tennis balls. She got some peanut butter nylabones too, so she is a happy girl right now.

How old is Felony? She looks about the same age as Gretchen. Gretchen torments the other dogs and cats wanting them to play. Right now she is also llaying at my feet while I 'm at the puter. ::)

When my dog was a puppy we had the same problem with tennis balls. She'd start chewing the fuzz off and after that was gone the bald ball had no chance. We've been buying real tennis balls for awhile now though don't know if she simply grew out of tearing them apart or because they're a little tougher.
