Ang needs positive thoughts
« on: September 28, 2005, 04:57:29 am »
Ang called me a little while ago, I hadn't heard from her today and was shocked when I learned what happened to her today.  It seems that she missed a curb, hit her ribs on table then blacked out on and off.  Next thing she knew she had 5 stitches, a fractured jaw, bruised ribs, road rash & fat lip.  She's going to find out tomorrow if she needs her jaw wired shut since her teeth aren't aligning.

So if everyone could send postive vibes and prayers her way, maybe she won't need her jaw wired and she'll feel better soon.  *hugs ang!*

Hope you get well fast sweety!!!!   :-*  The puppers all send kisses your way!!!

OMG! WTF!!  Ok enough abbreviations. .... what the heck happend?  I haven't heard from her today either which is a little wierd.  Apparently she did this while outside was she on a walk?  I'm so confused and now really worried, did she get hit by a car?  I wanna call her but she's probably not up to talking with a fractured jaw.  K, gonna go cry now and worry myself sick. :'(

Get better sweety, love you lots! :-*

Hi everybody!  I got an owie :(  OK here's what happened.  I was walking out of work with this heavy duty card table we use for the kids to sit on.  I was looking for the photographer's car, and didn't see the curb, so I mistepped, instead of falling to the ground, I fell forward and hit my ribs on the table.  It knocked the wind out of me, and I sat there for a minute.  I went to take the table to the car, next thing I know I'm laying face down in the parking lot next to the table.  (Black out #1).  I get up, thinking I have to get the table to the car, then I wake up on the OTHER side of the parking lot, sans table, (Black out #2).  My face is all tingly so I touch it and my hand comes away covered in blood.  Next thing I know I'm in the foyer (Black out #3) of the school and a teacher is helping me inside.

I don't know if I hit my head, I don't know if I hit my chin on the table or the pavement.  Scares the h*ll out of me because honestly I felt like I was awake for all of 20 seconds, and in reality I was wandering around for over half an hour.  I've got a "Laceration" on my chin, "Abrasions" from the bridge of my nose, over my lips and chin all the way to my throat, a fat lip, a fractured Mandibular (On the left side), and 4 bruised ribs, along with various scrapes and bruises.

Matt was the only one at the garage today, and seeing as how we only thought it was a few stitches, he couldn't leave.  I had a friend come and get me.  I wasn't going to go to the hospital at all but seeing as how workman's comp was paying I figured it was a good idea.

I'm out of work till at least the first of October (This is hysterically funny because I have a job interiew tomorrow.  Talk about first impressions :P ).  I have to go to a oh what the h*ll is it called?  Maxillofacial specialist tomorrow for him to decide what to do.  I have the X rays on a disc I just can't figure how to post them here.

They gave me Vicadin, but I don't want to take it till I HAVE to.  Which is really hard :(  Also, I get home and Sanity had the runs all over my bedroom as well as a lovely yellow pile of vomit.  And we have no shampoo for the rug shampooer :(

I'm going to take some LOVELY pictures and post them on here for all of you.  Thank you for your well wishes.  Love you all!

Ang

Oh no!  Sounds to me like you definitely hit your head if you were wandering around for a 1/2 hour without knowing it!   :'(

What a day!  Poor Sanity is sick, too!   :(

Please take it easy....maybe you could reschedule the job interview?  Surely they'd understand?   :-\

Hope you feel better soon!!  Sending puppy kisses your way!

I want to see the pic's in a couple of days when all the bruising comes out. Okay - Nurse Cindy says - Take the vicodan. If you wait until it hurts like h*ll, it may not be enough. You have to "stay ahead'" of the pain. Lets say the worst pain you ever felt is a "10" and your pain is an "8". You take the pill and you get relief to a "4" which is sort of tolerable. Take it again when the pain is a "6" and it won't get to an "8" or "10". Also be careful not to bend over so your head is hanging down. It causes too much pressure in your head and the pain will be excruciating and you may black out again!! :o Unfortunately, as bad as you feel today, you're going to feel worse tomorrow. I would reschedule the interview if I were you. I hope they did a CT scan of your head since you lost consciousness 3!!! times. You shouldn't be alone tonight and if your man has trouble waking you up he needs to call 911. I'm not trying to scare you but you probably have a concussion.  Please take care of yourself!!!

Poor Ang! I am so sad. On the bright side, you don't look as bad as I thought you would look.  ;D You look great infact, minus the bandage on the chin. Maybe the pain is making you think you look bad but you don't.  :D

Tell Matt he better stay with you tonight and to give you the pain meds to helpyou sleep. I hope you heal soon.
Hugs,

Oh Ang, you don't look near as bad as I had it pictured in my head.  You're still a raving beauty with a band-aid on your chin! :-*  I hope you get some rest and TAKE THE PILLS! LOL  That's what they're there for right? ;)
