Pro's and Con's of Weimaraners ?

Hi there , I am owned by newfies , I've been around weim's when I once managed a kennel at a vet office but have never owned one . Would ya'll please tell me your experiences with them ? A friend is trying to find a new home for their's and I certainly don't want him to end up at the shelter or shot ....(which is what I'm afraid they'll do .....) So I'm just seeing if he'll fit in at my house ... I haven't yet met him cause I know I'll just get all emotional and want to take him home ...LOL Thanks in advance !

I do not own a weim but would love to. My best friend had one when we were younger. His name was Thunder. He was a very sweet and loving dog. He was a rescue and did come with some issues. He came from a not very nice home. They did training with him and it fixed all the issues he was having. He was very bright and energenic. He really liked kids. He liked to go running and really like to have his daily excercise. He lived to be around 14 years old. He was a great family dog. i can't think of any thing negative . Other than he use to counter surf once nd a while. I remember one time he ate bread dough and drank alot of water and his belly expanded to a rather large size. ::)

Farley was in obedience with a weim Zoe. She was very sweet. She was only 4- 5 months. She had lots of energy. They also have a older weim. The owners said that the two dogs played together and that seems to curb some of the energy they want to get rid of daily. We have a vizsla and I find the same with him and our rotti. They play alot and tire each other out.

My brother has one Jenga...the dog is 9 yrs old and still goes like a puppy with boundless energy LOL...The big thing i noticed is they tend to get SA when their owners are not around...Jenga will pace and pace looking for her mother LOL  a very needy dog...the neediest one I have met so far...they are beautiful dogs and always on the go...she will also kill anything small

The only think I know about weimeraner's is from that movie Best in Show. lol. ;D
