If I can not be there Dixie will not be.  I did have one handler ask to take her on the road but I would not do it. Being at the show with them I would think is 99% of the fun.

Yep!  THAT'S the way I could do it! Thanks!!!  And you are right, NoDog!   A woman with a big fawn dobie at Del Cerro suggest just last week showing the brown one and said she'd help.  At that time I hadn't heard from the breeder, so I guess I'd better get back to the park! :D

AHEM  We pretty much only show once a month- sometimes I go and sometimes I send the dog with a handler.  The dog doesn't need to be gone months at a time-  If you have a good dog one weekend a month is plenty to get the job done.  We finished 3 dogs last year on that schedule  and getting ready to start again.  That way it doesn't fray my nerves - I like to show but not on the schedule of some of these handlers!

I have been told by my breeders even if we only go to a show every other month we should be able to finish Dixie within a year.  The show in Fl. is 6 days and I hope we are able to pull off 4 points from that set of show.  The past few years it has be a 1 or 2 point show each day.  Even if we dont get any point it will be fun.   I have read about dog that finish in 3-4 shows.

Okay.  I'll get serious about it.  I love the breeders...the y really are trying to improve the health of breed and Chester is an awesome dog....everyth ing Newfs are known for.  They want me to  have Chester checked just like he was going in to the breeding pool so they know how really healthy he is.  THEN I'll get him snipped....poo r guy!!!!

Speaking of....he just climbed in my lap as I was writing this and was licking the top of my head.  Must go have a shower before dinner, now! :P
