Introducing Tiny Tim
« on: May 31, 2005, 03:36:18 pm »
Hi Everyone,
I'd like to introduce Tiny Tim. He is a Great Pyrenees mix born on February 27. He was first named Tiny Tim because he was the runt, but the name is apropriate because he has a birth defect in his front left leg. Because of the missing bone and growth plate Tim's will never grow to match his body. Every step he takes is painful, as the elbow shoves up the upper leg. After a trip from Dallas to Houston to see the doctors at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialist, the decision was made to amputate the leg at the shoulder.

He is a beautiful boy! It is so sad that he has this tremendous hurdle to overcome so early in his life. Keep us updated on his progress.
Hugs,
Jaime
