Creepy... I think I have heard of Companion Animal Hospital! I'll put that one on the list of places never to take my dogs!!!

That's just crazy!  I don't understand the reasoning behind this.   It wasn't like he was trying to make money on the side, b/c he was putting it up for adoption.  If he didn't think it should have been pts, they why not just refuse to do it?  The first vet I worked for did that all the time.  He never put an animal to sleep unless he had seen them before, and if they were ill or had severe behavioral problems. (some people would just want to put them to sleep b/c they were old)

Strange!! Can you imagine this happening to you. Your dog shows up at your door. I think Id drop right there.
