I'm not a LGD expert by ANY means, but just because they don't have the dewclaws in the back and they have a solid belly does NOT mean that they're not a Pyr. The lack of dewclaws is a disqualifying fault in the show ring, but especially when you're dealing with a puppy from unknown origins, it is totally possible to have a purebred without them. And not to be a Snot Sofia, how can you know how old the puppy is if you haven't seen him in person? I ONLY say that because pictures can be very deceiving, and I wouldn't ever be sure of a dog's age till I saw it in person and even then, I wouldn't be positive.
Okay, I hadn't known that about the dewclaws. Thank you.
As far as age, I just tend to think he is a little bit younger, 3-4 months is my guess, based upon size and his still having some baby teeth. Mrs. Miller has seen him in person, so my guess is based upon what she wrote in emails. (I know you are just trying to point out that I shouldn't make assumptions; I understand.
) I guess I need to clarify that that is just a GUESS. Sorry about that being unclear.
I'm sure that she will post more about him later today, however.
