What is the best urine-odor remover?
« on: January 14, 2006, 04:41:30 pm »
After reading Liz's post about Hot Dog home deoderizer, I was super tempted to buy some, but I was leery of spending $25 (after shipping, since you cant buy it in stores here) on a bottle without knowing for sure its worth it. But I am deffinately in the market for some odor remover and I want to know what everyone thinks is the very best one out there.

I have found the best thing to mask the smell of urine is poop.  The more poop there is, the less you smell the pee.  Let me know if you have any more questions.  ;D

OMG........LOL

Ok....I'm done laughing now.

Nature's Miracle works well for us.

We've also used Borax....it worked really well on a doggie vomit smell that refused to leave. ugh!

I find natures miracle works well on none carpet surfaces. But for on carpet the best thing I found is Bissel's pet order remover. I use it in my steam cleaner and it works for all pet odors, pee, vomit, poo you name it it gets rid of it.

I use biological washing powder, usually the cheapest I can find, dry the patch as best you can then scrub with a concentrated solution then clean water, then dry again. The enzymes in the powder neutralize the odor. (check carpet for colour fastness first)
