I have never heard of a Cane Corso. What are they known for? Please post some pictures so that we can all enjoy your fur baby.

They are lovely and loyal! Sadly they are falling into the wrong hands because of their intimidating looks. You can learn more about them by visiting http://www.CorsoLuv.com and see many more photos of them.

:) Cool photos - I have never seen Cane Corso but it is good to learn about this breed - May I ask about the ears - Dose the puppy gets their ears cut - bit like tail docks on the puppies at the vet??? OR is it normal of the breed??
Clear information would be really great if you could explain... Thanks...

The ears and tails are cropped and docked. The ears are cropped based on owners decision usually as most breeders do not like to foot the bill for this. My boys ears were cropped when i got him at 4 months. The tails are docked by vet normally except in places like holland and a few other countries where it is becoming illegal to do so. Natural ears are preferred on most Corsos that are pets, whereas most that show generally get the ears cropped. The tail however is always done unless it is in a country that does not allow. And the croppign is not the same as with a rottie tail, it is more like a weimaraner where it is docked at the 4th vertabrae. Note in the pic this pic the length is much longer than a rottie or dobe docking. This is the correct docking size anything smaller than this is not to type standard. Although you have many breeders now days that breed and dont know that much on the breed that tend to just dock as a rotties tail would be, this is much to short and is not what the standard calls for.

thanks for asking i can talk on my breed all day long, as im sure most of you all can.  ;D

WOW he is really something, great name too.  I've not heard of this breed.  Before we got our Great Pyrenees I did a search on large breeds Cane Corso didn't come up, I wonder why?

You got me curious about the breed so I went on the AKC web site and Cane Corso is not listed.  Does AKC recognize this breed?  Things that make go hummmmmmm?

Same here as I got curious as I have never seen or heard of Cane Corso and checked on NZKC to see if they do have Cane Corso but nothing list in New Zealand Kennel Club website but it shown up as Italian Corso Dog - Didn't show image so I don't know yet about it - I don't know if there is any breeder in our country but I will find out. Also here in nz - The Groverment will have meeting and may set up with a law to stop from having tail docking. There was many people don't agree and do agree about the tail docking include dog showing etc....I don't know yet!!! Have to wait and see till I find out the news!...
