Crufts Dog Show
« on: March 11, 2006, 06:03:36 pm »
Crufts dog show is on at the moment over here in the UK. I was there on Thursday with Honey, and guess what? She got a 1st in the bitch puppy class ;D.... How great is that?!

I knew she had a chance of a place as she is a really nice pup, but it all depended on whether the judge liked her type, colour (browns often get ignored in the ring), and whether she moved as well as we know she can. Well she must have done everything right on the day... And the judged liked browns!

Because she got a first she is now qualified for next years Crufts as well ;D

Just a shame we couldn't take Kitten too because of his OCD, wouldn't it have been nice if he had a got a placing as well... He is in for an op on his elbows next Thursday :-[

How fabulous!  Hopefully it will televised here and we'll be able to look for Honey.  I'm sure Chester, our brown, will have a crush on her!! ;)

Good luck with Kitten next week and  let us know how it goes!!

There is a photo of Honey at Crufts on her paw print page now ;). I didn't get any decent ones in the ring as they were too dark. Her breeder videod it though ;D

I am sure Kitten would have managed to get a place at Crufts too if we had shown him... Though not with the limp! But he is one stunning boy, and was doing really well before the limp started :'(

Honey would just love Chester too ;)

Congratulation s! If I'd have known I'd have come over to the Newf rigns and said hello as I was there on the same day. I went to see Flynn's daddy and siblings.

May be next year then Senghe ;)

Yes Kitten has had surgery Melissakins. He went in last Thursday, so now he is hobbling about like an old man! The vet said he also had elbow dysplasia, so he broke the one bone in his leg (radius or ulna I can't remember which)as he said that will make both bones the same length:o. He is in the living room with us all the time and has to be fed and let out to the toilet at different times to the other two for now. Honey is so sad without him, even though old Moll has been playing with her! I think i should have started a new thread!!

Glad Bava is doing well after his op, he will soon be back to normal I am sure :)

Great idea!  I think we'd all like to be kept up to date on Kitten's surgery and recovery.

Cowboy and Chester send him drools and we hope he's back up on all four quickly!!!
