Can dogs catch colds?
« on: April 05, 2006, 10:57:33 pm »
Since this morning Daisy has been snorting and huffing....bes t way I can describe it lol. At first we thought it was cause she was in hyper-mode, but I think it may actually be congestion of some sort. Is this normal? I can't remember her doing this before. Is there something I can do for her?

Yes they can catch a cold. My little Nani has been miserable with a runny nose and sneezing. It could also be kennel cough.

My vet recomended rest and plenty of fluids. They also put her on antibiotics.

Mickey started doing that a month or so ago, I think it's allergies.  Try giving some Benedryl and see if that helps.
