Ideas for Registered Name??
« on: April 06, 2006, 04:15:05 pm »
With Boudreaux coming in a week, Matt and I were thinking about a registered name and can come up with nothing.  He is coming from Flying W and his parents are Rufus and Grettle.  ugh.  How do you come up with something manly from that????  Maybe something Cajun?  Any ideas will be appreciated.

How about Flying W's Atchafalaya.  call name Boudreaux

Atchafalaya refers to both a river and a large wetlands region; the name derives from the Choctaw hacha falaia, meaning "Long River."

I came up with a few more

Flying W Krewe of Brew
Flying W Laissez les bons temps rouler (let the good times roll)

Due to recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas and oil, as well as current market conditions, the Light at the End of the Tunnel has been turned off. We apologize for the inconvenience

I got nothin'.  I will have to get more information next weekend when we pick him up and maybe that will help.  All the breeder said was Grettle and Rufus. :-\  I will have to bump the thread back into action next weekend.  Have a great weekend all! :)

hmm.. i'm not so good at this, but here are a few suggestions..

Laissez les bons temps rouler (Lay say lay bohn tohn roo lay): Let the good times roll.

if he's stubborn, this could be a good one: Lache pas la patate (Losh pa la pa tot): Don't let go of the potato or don't give up (a testament to the enduring spirit of the Cajun people

i think this is what this one means "les petite mains fait bien avec les petit ouvrages" little hands do well with little tasks."

haha! i'm still thinking here!
here are some words that maybe you could put together!

MAIS:
(May) Technically, it means "But...." "Mais Non" is "But No." It is used to add emphasis. If a Cajun girl says "yes," She is only lukewarm. But if she says "Mais Yeah," look out.

oou you could do
Boudreaux's Cris sur le bayou "Cries on the Bayou"

"My newfoundlands live my life as passionately as i live theirs"
"I slip the hater of what i've become.  they slip the halter of what they've been, and we live together, passionately, changed"
