Dog Laws Make no Sense

Question Comment 1: I know one thing for sure….whoever drafted the new Louisville Dog Law does not own a gentle giant. They wrote that any “attack” is described as a scratch, abrasion or bruising! I don’t know about most folks but that is my daily life with a newf. Everytime I sit down one of them comes up and gives me the high five with her paw..”hey mom, pet me!” Abrasion….try walking through a doorway at the same time with a newf who is in a hurry! And bruising…can happen anywhere, anyhow…like sitting on the couch and your biggest newf, all 125 pounds decides to jump up in your lap…now there is a bruise that can cover several body parts!

Comment 2: Oh yeah, the bear-paw across the face, the head-butt when he gets up right as you are about the kiss him, the run right over the reclining person when in pursuit of a kitty, etc. I am so covered with bruises, every morning when I see one I think, "Hmmm, The Count must have rammed into me here...and here...and this one is from when he fell on me...." Talk about scrapes, scratches, and bruises. What will they do next, ban trees because you can get hurt running into one of those you know....

Comment 3: This law is ludicrous. How many dogs won't chase a squirrel, rabbit or a mouse if not specifically trained not to? If you read this whole lawsuit virtually every dog in Louisville will have to be put to sleep if the law is actually enforced. If you show dog gets out the only way you can get it back is "altered". If that's the case anyone even driving through Louisville better take a wide circle around it or don't dare even stopping where.
